The last full day has been such a lot of fun but also quite a physically challenging day for many of us. Two groups went on their journey day, which was an expedition to the summit of ‘The Old Man of Coniston’; the largest mountain in the area! The children found this tough going as the weather was very hot! One group managed to get to the very top, whilst the other almost made it; stopping at the tarn just below the top. The long slog up the hill was rewarded with excellent views of the lakes and mountains and a refreshing walk back down to the bottom. The other group went rock climbing before lunch and paddle boarding in the afternoon. The whole group managed to stand up on their paddle board by the end of the session and lots of them even managed to paddle across the lake a bit.

We have had such a great time so far and we are really looking forward to coming home to see you all.
